She's here! Kayley Fedora Chieh was born on September 10, 2000, at 9:24.
Trish's water broke at around 8:30 on Sept. 9, and we got into the hospital
at noon. We were in pretty good spirits, but of course, we didn't know what
lay ahead.
Because Trish hadn't gotten regular contractions, she was put on pitocin to induce labour. We had a 24 hour time contraint because her water broke. We waited and waited, and she was fully effaced at 4:30am, but not fully dialated. At 8:30, after attempts to push her out, we were having too many problems because she wasn't completely dialated. We decided to get a Caesarean, and Kayley was delivered at 9:24.
