Well, I finally convinced Trish to come to the drop zone with me to
watch me land, and just hang out. Drop zones are interesting places,
and to a newcomer to the sport, they seem to buzz with energy, excitement
and fun, as people prepare for their dives, or walk in from landing.
A couple of visits, and Trish felt comfortable enough to give it a try.
On August 1, 1999, she went with Jack for her first tandem!
