Harley is our African Grey parrot. She looks rather innocent and
sweet in these pictures, but it's all smoke and mirrors. She's hell
on our kitchen, and is quite a handful, but I sure do enjoy listening
to her babble in the mornings and beg to have her head rubbed.
Trish and Harley at the San Jose airport before Harley's first flight!
Kosmo and Zephyr are kakarikis, a species of Australian grass
parakeets. They are a bonded pair, but still let us handle them.
Kosmo is rather clumsy, while Zephyr is the
model of grace. Kind've like Trish and I, only reversed. That's Kosmo
on the right, and Zephyr on the left.
This is a picture of Piper when he was less than 6 months old. He
is a cinnamon pearl, white-faced cockatiel. He died in Dec. 00 of
a respiratory infection, and we miss his singing in the mornings.
Trish had Skyler for 10 or 11 years now. She taught me that cats
can be very cool to have around :) Skyler died in Dec. 00 of
cancer, after a long battle, and we miss her dearly.
